No, unfortunately not - lots of country-specific hats, but it needs to be a single one, so the adventurer is probably the closest we can get to 'international'. It also has no negative connotations that I'm aware of.

Unless you count grave robbing and empire plundering ;) I've got an artist lined up from here on inkscape.org and the brief includes each hat with an item, the item for the adventurer hat will be a mini desk globe (not just a globe, but the kind with the holder.)

Ah, that sounds nice :) (not the grave-robbing, but the additional item). I'm looking forward to Tim's creations!
