@NDIM DONALD Thanks for your contest entry! Just some hints / questions before I approve it:
* you are allowed to include your signature in the drawing - I wasn't able to find one, just wanted to let you know
* there's a tiny white stripe in the top left corner - it might be part of the drawing, or it might be accidentally
* and a question: did you use any sources for tracing the woman's face? If so, please indicate them.
Hello Maren,
1. The signature is embedded into the art, the logo of ANKHARA Studios (My baby) where i'm founder, in the shape of a large outlined circle with a crossed line at the bottom,
kinda like the cross of the Ankh without the lower bottom.
On this main image, it is found in 3 places;
at the top corner of her shoulder to the middle left,
on her face on the side chick behind the middle-sweat in the lower center,
and just behind her hoodie cap at the intersecting angle of the braids, her hoodie and the slanted big splashy orange colored rectangle to the right.
I can still make it bolder! but the main aim was for it to be seen only if you know it and look for it.
2. The white space is a little gap that the background rectangle didn't fill-off while fitting to the page, Corrected! still, I feel like leaving this perfect imperfection the way it is for main image. In the inkscape file, you can see the full variation of the art mask-clipped to the different scenes and the full view below them all!!!
3. The Ladies face is part of my previous creations while the art style is inspired by the recent video from adobe illustration release of their style transfer generative color feature in the part where the lady with the glasses, bonnet cap, curly falling hiars, opened jacket with long sweatwear and abstract shapes and bolts in her background gets a color pallet swap. It felt soo cool to recreate the pop art style with inkscape (though theirs have a mix of stained glass art to it), the hair braids and other mini elements are inspired by a doodle arts style from Burnt Toast witha fade off from his minimalistic classy style.
Its in 4 places, and the top left corner, close to the edge, below the Inkscape logo, behind the pink 'desire' colored 45°ish slanted rectangle.
look at the direction where the back pencil is pointing to. 😉
Hi NDIM DONALD,
thanks for your replies!
1.) In that case, I would like to ask you to have it there only once, not four times (even if it is hard to see, this is out of fairness towards other submitters who were also allowed to have their signature in their drawing only once, in an unobtrusive way).
2.) Whichever you prefer, this is your art!
3.) As long as it's not directly traced from a copyrighted source, it's okay. Being inspired by the ad for a different software seems fine, too!
Hello Maren,
Great thanks for your feedback, updated the art with the suggested modifs.
and Blessup for your immersive contribution to our Inkscape community!!!
Could you do the 'clean up document' again, please? Then it should be good to go!
Everything done and dusted!!
Thanks! Your entry is now checked. Please do not make any further edits from now on. Good luck!
Muchas gracias Maren!!!
