Michèle (zigzagmlt) is a curious spirit and a lifelong learner who began her Inkscape Vectors Team adventure in March 2018 after spotting an invitation on Twitter to join in a meeting – open to non-coders, too!
A writer, former journalist and editor of an English weekly community newspaper in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada, who has spent the better part of the last decade trying to gain back her childhood courage and passion for patterns and fabric. She has spent the past almost decade putting her skills to work (often virtually) with her colleagues in the field of community economic development.
She was drawn to Inkscape and GIMP a few years back while seeking digital tools to work with that were affordable. Michèle is enjoying making new friends, learning new skills, problem solving on the fly, and getting involved with a terrific community.
The Inkscape Vectors Team has inspired Michèle to get back into news writing, practice her translating, and learn new skills, like bug reporting all while collaborating with friendly and knowledgeable team members from around the globe. Her goal is to share the Inkscape project – the software and the possibilities for investing sweat equity in the current and future development of this application – with people around her and in her social media networks.
