Circle Clones

This script create a circle of clones around each selected element, using --ray as the distance of the object center to the clone center. Each clone is rotated (360/--num-clones), making all bottom sides to point to the center.

Now support "ray length unity".

Oh nice! I've been doing this process a lot lately (drawing mandalas...symmetric geometric round designs) so I can't wait to test this.

Interesting. This functionality seems very similar to the 'rotate copies' path effect. What differentiates it?

It is very alike, however, it works to any kind of element, like groups and text, were path effects wont work. It also work differently and with less parameters. That is surely simpler for many use cases. :-)

I guess I'm doing something wrong. I select an object, open the circle-clone extension and click apply. The display flickers but I don't get any cloned objects around the original selection. Some guidance would be appreciated.

I'm having the same issue as Tjingles, any tips? Also a complete noob so that probably has a lot to do with it!

I am having the same issue. Just a box that flickers when I click apply and nothing else happens.

Can someone please explain how this works? It's not coming up under my extensions menu. A step by step would be good.
