Made with Inkscape 0.92 on Ubuntu Studio 19.10 and Wacom CTH-470. My favorite setting for simple strokes drawing like this with pen tablet is to set pencil tool `Smoothing` to high value that produces only two (start and end) nodes per each stroke.
