Been using Illustrator/Photoshop since 2001, professionally, but finally decided to move to open source, since I am tired of running Windows virtual enviros on my Linux systems just to run Adobe. So over Windows/Mac.
Inkscape is Free and Open Source Software licensed under the GPL.
