    I am trying to create a template for a bag. Is there any way to have the length of the lines show as you extend or shorten it?

    Hi Wiggo,
    In Inkscape 1.0.2
    Select your item.
    Then go to menu > path > patheffects
    You hit the add button and choose measure segments.

    Is that what you're looking for? There is a lot you can tweak in the settings.
