I have a question about text that is set to stroke in Inkscape. In the attached image (which is a test of a sign I want to make), I circled the problem I'm having with the text. Is there a font I can use that will connect the inside part of certain letters like "D", "A", "O" and "P" so that it will not completely cut out? If not, is there a way in Inkscape that I can do this? Thanks!
Thatยดs one reason โStencilโ-fonts were invented. But itโs easy to make these supports by adding (Path->Union) shallow rectangles at theย mentioned glyphs.
What do you mean by "shallow rectangles"? I already did Path>Union & the bottom letters welded together.ย I know I can add a space between the bottom letters to correct this but don't know how to deal with the circled letters (missing the insides) in my image. Thanks!

Do you need to "reconstruct" the lettering because it's already destroyed? Can you upload your status quo drawing perhaps?
