He holds two master’s degrees from the University of Phoenix, one in administration and supervision, and one in curriculum and instruction, and a bachelor’s degree in history from Metropolitan State College (now known as Metropolitan State University of Denver). He has worked as a teacher, administrator, athletic director, consultant, and customer servant in different settings, such as schools, businesses, and nonprofits.
