Don´t know your printer but could be there´s simply no vector data in your file. Saving a jpg as SVG don´t make a vector drawing out of it. SVG is just a container you can put in a lot of image formats. And don´t mix "Save as" with "Export" please.
Sorry should have told you the printers I tried Canon B2700 Brother HL-32370CW and Brother MFC in A3.
So should I if I need to always only save the finished file with photos as export as JPEG or another format so I can see the photos on a print out. I tried everything to get the photos to show but saving an SVG and printing an SVG with photos doesn't allow the photos to be seen.
@Bhameshwari Graphics SVG isn´t an export file format and not related in this case.
@Woiim. The Canon is a photo printer and I believe can´t interpret SVG data. The first Brother is a PCL laser and the other a GDI printer. I only have monochrome and 4 color Laserprinters in use - none of these should have any difficulties to print SVG data+raster graphics in a mix - but Inkscape does not get direct access to the printer drivers at least on macOS. I was told that Linux is supposed to be able to control 99% of all laser printers - I can't verify that.
I can only recommend not to print from Inkscape but to save the files as PDF and use AcrobatReader for printing.

I mostly redraw the pic and than export to SVG, and it works fine

Maybe try a newer version of Inkscape.
The version currently in MS Store is 1.1, but newer versions for Windows is available.
