Beginners' Questions Two Layer 1s

I have just begun my journey into using Inkscape.   In one of my first Inkscape drawings, I have found I have two layer1s though in different levels  see  https://postimg.cc/67tnnkN4 .

    1. Have I created an unusual condition?
    2. Is there a more compact way to present the layers?
    3. Should I have done something to avoid the double layer 1s?
    4. Is this a normal situation and I could just get on with my project and not worry?

Uhmm, as far as I know, Inkscape lets you have multiple sublayers inside a layer, so, don't worry about that; and you can drag and move your elements to a different layer. The names are just that, names, you can rename every layer (and sub-layer), just try a bit, create some sub-layers and drag and move your objects between them.

Thank you Jean.. I have been tying to learn so many things that I was confused by having the same name show up.  But thanks to your resurances I will now happly stumble on with one less thing to worry about. 😌
