Beginners' Questions Problems with typing international characters on Mac Os

    I am using Polish programmers keyboard layout (Polish Pro), but cannot get some Polish characters - in Inkscape 0.9 (with XQuartz), as in all other apps on this machine, I could type all Polish characters correctly using ALT + letter combination (for instance, to get Polish "Γ³" I used ALT + o, Polish "Ε‚" - ALT + l. Now when I use these shortcuts Inkscape menus open instead - "Object" when I type ALT + o, "Layers" when I typeΒ  ALT + l. I searched the Preferences, but there seem to be no such shortcuts. In all other apps I use on the same system everything works fine. I did a clean install of Inkscape 1.0.2, but the problem persists. I am not quite sure if the problem was there when I first installed Inkscape 1.0, but it certainly was in version 1.0.1.

    Inkscape 1.0.2, Mac Os Sierra (10.12.6), Macbook Air (2015 version).
