Paint Bucket Fill was working ok but now only fills in as outline lines! Have been into preferences and changed to both different settings but is still the same. Frustrated and need help Windows 10

I'd ensure:

• nothing is selected
• Open bucket preferences 
• Select: Last style
• Close preferences
• Select bucket tool
• Click on palette to set tool's fill
• Shift+Click on palette to set tool's stroke
• Click in enclosed area in workspace to create bucket filled object

Click on paint bucket tool icon then look at bottom left of screen if there is a fill color enabled.
