I am trying to delete pages after importing objects into my current file. However, I don't seem to find the page tool. I am using Inkscape 1.2.1 (9c6d41e4, 2022-07-14).
I'm running Inkscape 1.2.2 and the page management tool button is now gone as well. The shortcut key I assigned to it SHIFT+P still works, but for the life of me, I have no understanding of why the button would suddenly go missing. My tool buttons don't go past the bottom of the screen so it's not out of scroll view. It simply isn't there. I also tried changing the theme should the icon contrast be corrupt for the button image. *scratching head*
Fixed the page tool icon missing issue.. In Linux under ~/.config/inkscape/ moved preferences.xml to preferences.xml~ and relaunched Inkscape. Be sure to close Inkscape before moving the preferences file or else Inkscape will dump existing data to file when it quits. After starting fresh without a preferences.xml file to load from, it created a new one and the page tool icon is back.
Been having strange behavior.. First connectors wouldn't move with mouse if grouped. Snapping was causing issues so I added snap delay, unticked "snap to centers", and moved some rendering settings around. After changing page dimension of a project the file corrupted hours of work I'll have to redo... and this page icon missing issue began when trying to do this all over again.
It may not be wise for me to use Inkscape 1.2.2 unless for testing purposes.. I'm having an Inkescape moment!

Attached is the snapshot of my panel.
The toolbox area can scroll... the pages tool may be at the bottom.
