Inkscape was terrible slow for me if I moved around a bigger (=like half the size of my screen (1920x1080) ) object, like a simple rectangle, it rendered like 5 frames/second. Then I found out I need to change the preferences->rendering->filter effects quality for display option to the lowest quality. Now it is still not very fast, and using one of my cpu threads at 100% when I moving a bigger rectangle, but it is usable. I am just confused, is it normal behavior? The avarage quality option is super slow in my machines.
I have a decent i7-8550u notebook, I tried running inkscape both with intel integrated graphics and with nvidia mx150 graphics card. But I even have a much stronger gamer PC and it is same, obviously little faster but still lagging, to move just a simple rectangle (with the avarage quality option).
It is always was this slow? Or can be done anything else to improve the rendering speed?
Thank you!

A couple things to try: disable dithering, close document properties.

Thanks Tyler! ;) Looks like it's not solved? Although I'll tell her to try those things.
