from a newly installed inkscape ver: 1.3.2 under windows 10
I did create a new document US 8.5 x 11 inch, draw a single 10 x 10 mm square, set the minor-spacing X-Y grid at 1mm, and the major-spacing grid at 5mm
when using the right arrow to move the square 10 spaces of 1mm, it's only move of 5.3 spaces.
usualy in CAD software, when move with the arrow keys 10mm, the drawing move 10mm excatly.
what I'm missing here is there a setup for keyboard entry versus the grid spacing?
Hope someone can help with this problem, or is it a bug to be fix.
I found out 1 hours after posting my request, but was unable to send another posting maybe of a new account here.
one thing can be more effective and less confusing will be to add the "Steps" setup into the Grid setup window, this way when editing the grid spacing the steps can be adjusted also, no need
to look on other place in the software.
Also I had to say the DXF, saving now is way better than before (no many steps as before to configure how the DXF file is to be save).

Thanks to all for helping.
Check Inkscape‘s Preferences for „Steps“ to adjust the distance.
Many thanks Polygon,

Does this work in 1.4 Beta2? Seems it doesn't work correctly in Beta3.
