I often have to wrap several layers in a groop. In Inkscape 1.2 (and before) that was simpel: click the first layer, press shift and click the last layer. Then all the layers are selected. Click Object - Groop, and that does it.
But now I have Inkscape 1.3.2 this doesn't work any more, if I click another layer (with or without shift) only one layer is selected.
Press ctrl en click the last layer. Then press and hold, and click the first layer, than the last one. Then it looks as if all layers exept the last are selected, but if you select Object - Groop all layers are wraped in the groop.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Press ctrl key instead of shift.
Sorry, I didn't say I allready tried ctrl as well. It doesn't work either.
Playing with ctrl and shift I found this:
Press ctrl en click the last layer. Then press and hold, and click the first layer, than the last one. Then it looks as if all layers exept the last are selected, but if you select Object - Groop all layers are wraped in the groop.
It works, but it looks like a bug.

The word shift must be added to my text above:
