I'm trying to print a scroll saw pattern using my Brother all in one laser printer. The printed image is coming out 1/4" short on both sides. I imported the pattern, did an Object ungroup and isolated just the pattern that I wanted. I set my doc properties at U.S. letter and all my settings are in inches. I set the height and width and locked them. I sent it to the printer and it printed but the picture is not the specified dimensions. Help. I've not had this problem in a very long time and I don't recall what the answer was for this problem.

My preference is to save a copy as PDF and print from Adobe Reader.

I would also ensure that the printer is set to "actual size" and not "fit" (fit to page).

Ok, what I found out is that if I want to print out a true and accurate drawing in a .pdf format, I have to print it from a .pdf reader. For some reason, the print option within Inkscape has very few settings available for change. Once I printed from Acrobat, all went smoothly. I'm still scratching my head wondering why after importing the .pdf and isolating the portion that I wanted to print, Inkscape would not let it print accurately.
