When creating icon themes for Gnome / Ubuntu, when we draw on a 32x32 canvas ( for example ), the requirement is to have SVGs of canvas size 16 to 64, sometimes up to 512 x 512. Is there any method we can use to accomplish this task ? Otherwise, we need to draw each icon size included.
Perhaps we can have a batch save just like batch export from PNG.
Something similar is required when you are designing icons for Android. It will be great if we can automate this work flow. Even an extension at this point will save hours of time for a designer.
Did you make the feature request in GitLab? We can talk about it here. But it will never get done if it's not documented in GL.
OH!! Wait! When you mentioned Android, it reminds me of an extension. Hold on, there might be an extension.... (I was looking for something about "icons" before.)
Ok, found 2. No idea if they work, but you can test:
Thanks for the reply. I haven't done icons for Android in a while. Mainly because I was focusing on the Ubuntu icon theme which I use on my own machine. But yes, I will check them.
Currently, I would be happy if there is a way to export to different SVG sizes. Perhaps I will limit to that when asking on Gitlab. Can you give the link to it ?
I was told of Black Friday. Weekend is also due. Maybe everyone is busy celebrating. Thankfully you are here to give company :)
It looks like a good report. I would probably post one last comment, that none of the solutions offered solves your problem, and that you're still requesting the feature. I wonder if developers get lost when there is a lot of unneeded discussion, and give up before they ever start.
Well, unless one of those solutions works for you. When I read through, it didn't sound like it did?
It is really hard to generate sizes when working on changing even a single icon. You are right, none of them worked for me. It is simply export as SVG same as in batch export PNG. Perhaps it is technically challenging than I understand. I am just trying to help make things easier for a lot of people who want to change at least one icon in Gnome / Ubuntu. Even changing one icon is challenging due to icon sizes demand.

https://inkscape.org/en/~owenfromcanada/%E2%98%85androidvector (https://github.com/owenfromcanada/inkscape-androidvector )
And there are a couple more too, but they don't have any descriptions. All they say is "Android export". Do you want those links too?
(Oh geez, no wonder it's dead around here. Just realized it's Thanksgiving in US!)

I hope I did this one correctly
