Beyond the Basics Distributing an object along a curved path without rotation.

    I want to create a long chain of identical images (200 or so) along a wavy path. But the images must remain vertical.
    "Pattern_Along_Path" causes the images to lean this way and that.
    "Create_Tiled_Clones" only does straight lines or exponential curves.
    "Align_Objects" does only horizontal and vertical.
    "Envelope_Distort" just isn't doing what I need.

    Is there an extension out there? or have I missed a trick?

    Brilliant ! Perfect ! That is exactly what I was looking for.
    What a misleading name --  "Scatter"???

    I use Tiling Path effect to make a single row. EG Blue. Then copy it (green) and position it. And repeat to make up the flow. You don't need different colours as I have.



    OR you can create just one wave by hand, group it, and use Tiling to repeat the group..
