I’m not quite sure how to use this. There is an option to “Change only selected nodes” but the effect is applied immediately, so checking the box does nothing. It seems inconsistent that Path Effects have no Apply button, but everything else (e.g. Filters) does have an Apply button.
I thought making “Change only selected nodes” a default parameter would work, but the effect is still applied to all nodes in the path.
This is probably due to the fact that paths can only carry one style: so it´s either Bézier or BSpline but not in the same stroke. In LPE Corners for instance you can of course choose/select which nodes you want to chamfer for instance
@Moilleadoir the checkbox “Change only selected nodes” is working for me. Modifying the "Change Weight %" value affects all of the nodes, unless that checkbox is active and a node is selected. The round handles either side of affected nodes move inwards or outwards as the value is altered.
Ianp5a is right. I didn´t saw the feature because the floating box was too short: in essence you check “Change only selected nodes” and use "Change weight" value to get a different curvature - but of course the the whole path will be a BSpline then - unless you convert with Path->Object to Path turning it into Bézier again.

So, to only change some nodes I should
Seems a little counter-intuitive to select after adding the effect, but I get it now.
Fairly sure I couldn’t get the Corners effect to work on a single node though.
