Hello, I am reading a book on Inkscape. The instructions were to create a rectangle and to work with the fill and stroke. I am confused by the following step:

"Select the rectangle and set the Opacity, % slider to 60 while keeping the A (Alpha) Opacity box of both fill and stoke to at 255.

I set the Opacity % slider to 60 as you can see from the attached screen snapshot. (Let's call that step 1). Now I am confused because the last part of the step talks about the Opacity box of the fill and stoke and how it should be set to 255. So where is the Opacity box , I don't see it anywhere on the screen? See attached image.

Thanks Tyler. I thought that as well, however the A slider percentage only goes up to 100% The instructions say 255.

255 is the highest number in 8-bit processing (0-255 is 256 steps). It is equivalent to 100%.

Different version of Inkscape may display the value in percentage or decimal.
