I have managed to apply text around a circle path but the problem I am having is when it is rotated around to the bottom of the circle it is then upside down. How do I flip it vertically so that is the right way up?
Select the circle (but not the text) and flip horizontally [h] or vertically [v]. This applies a transform to the circle equivalent to [Object > Transform...] [Scale] [Width: -100 %] or [Height: -100 %].
Alternatively select the the circle, then [Path > Object to Path] and [Path > Reverse].
@Pcochran525 choose a color from the swatches at the bottom of the Inkscape window or go Object->Fill and Stroke and adjust accordingly and maybe go Help->Tutorials->Inkscape:Basic

Does anyone know how to change a circle from an outline to a solid colored circle?
