Whenever I use the text tool, the default orientation is now up-down instead of left-right (that is, the writing is basically tilted 90 degrees clockwise). I've obviously pressed a button or changed a setting as this is now the default option and I have to correct it by rotating it 90 degrees counter clockwise. Does anyone know what I've done and how to put it back???
Okay I spoke to soon! So clicking on the text orientation button will change a single instance of text, but if I start to create a new text object then it again defaults to vertical text!
There must be a setting somewhere for the default orientation and I've changed it (either that or it's a bug...)
I'd try resetting the text tool's style by typing text and orienting it L2R, the double click on the text tool to open the tool settings and selecting the last used style or setting "its own style" (take from current).
Or, just use the reset all preferences button in the Preferences dialog.
