I have a PDF which needs redacting. I used to use Inkscape 0.92.5 (2060ec1f9f, 2020-04-08) to place a black rectangle over text, however Inkscape saving the edited PDF loses graphic images. I am trying to use GIMP 2.10.18 to add rectangles over the PDF text, however the black bucket fill leaves the text with white outlines. Any suggestions please to fix the Inkscape issue?

Did both types of PDF import get tried? maybe poppler/cairo performs better for this.
