    Hi,

    CorelDraw had a feature called "Preview selected only", with a hotkey, which behaved as the name implies, rendering only the selected objects.

    It was extremely useful.  Is there anything similar in Inkscape?

    Not so much.

    In the development version (v.1.3 next year) there are better tools than now, but no "solo" button.
