I am trying to import an SVG file. The image is a basic rectangle. When I import it and check the size it is 8.770 in. x 12.247 in. It is supposed to be approx. 11.7 in x 16.3 in. Someone pointed out that maybe I am using the incorrect DPI. Originally the preference for imported images was 96. I changed the default to 72, but the size of the image didn't change. Is there another way to change the DPI of the image to try and correct to the desired size?
I realize I can select the object and resize it but there are other, more complex images that I also need to import and I am not confident I could precisely resize every file.
I'd open a new document of the desired size and then import the older svg. This should automatically group everything in the older svg. Then, the group can be proportionally scaled by 1.333 and centered.
Scaling can easily be done using the controls bar: The aspect can be locked and "*1.333" can be applied to either the H or W value (the numeric input boxes can accept simple math expressions).
The Menu: Object>Transform dialog can also be used to scale to 133.33%.
