I'm a beginner in Inkscape and I'm probably asking a stupid question, but I can't find the answer so...
When I create an object in Inkscape and fill it with a black color, it's not completely black. It's more of a dark grey. If I place a second black object over it, it will turn completely black.

When I do the same in for instance Affinity photo it is completely black. So it is not a pc problem. I work on a Imac and in version 1.2.1 of Inkscape.

What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

In Inkscape you can set opacity on the colour and opacity on the object. Both have to be set to 100% to get completely black.

Maybe it's something else, but this is worth trying.

Opacity can be assigned on color, object, group, layer... all should be checked.

Another thing I would check is Menu: View>Display mode>Normal.  If set to "Outline Overlay", it will diminish the normal view.
