    Hello,

I have this issue where I have a Bird shape, made of multiple paths and I cant seem to Cut the path or "Difference" this bird shape into a Yellow Cirlce (object). I'm assuming because it is not one path?

When I try to Combine Path, the bird gets wonky looking. How would you go about making this happen while keeping the shape of the bird?

Not sure how the negative/white parts should look on the bird - could be you need to convert first the Stroke to path then combine and then Path->Difference to get the look you´re after. Would be easier to explain with the file at hand.

    ok thanks for the response,

I have attached the file. All I'm trying to do is cut the bird out of the circle just like I did with the Square. So I'll be left with a circle, and a Bird cut out of it.

The duck is a weird mix of doubled strokes groups and what not - when I ungroup everything I can go Path->Union and then place it over the circle and go Path->Difference.

Bur I´m still not sure how the duck shall look like.

Wow, Thank you that was perfect.

I cant believe how easy that was and I couldn't figure it out! This will really help me out going forward. Thank you so much

You´re welcome. The Outline view helps in such cases and a look at the Status bar of course. 😉
