Hi all. Does Inkscape support the Noto Emoji and Noto Color Emoji? These are both free google fonts.
I don't have Inkscape in front of me now, but I do recall going to Text▶Unicode Characters, poking around, but not seeing the emojis there. Also, from what I recall, both fonts do show up in the "Text and Font" menu.
P.S. When I searched for 'emoji' in topic subject and topic threads nothing came up. I've tried using search before, and regardless of what I'm searching for, I always get zero results.

"Noto Color Emoji is an open source font that has you covered for all your emoji needs, including support for the latest Unicode emoji specification (15.0). It features 3,664 emoji."

Inkscape uses the fonts available on your system. If you download and install Noto Emoji and Noto Color Emoji, you should be able to find them after restarting the program. I've added several fonts to my machine (running MacOS 13.5) but I haven't tried these.
sorry that I wasn't clear. I have successfully downloaded and installed several fonts to my computer. All of them are available in Microsoft Word (and other Microsoft programs I assume on my computer) and also in Inkscape. It's hard to explain, I'll have to take screen shots later, but I can't get either emoji font to work properly in Inkscape.
