I created a design in Inkscape 0.92.5 (Linux Ubuntu Studio). When I opened the design in Inkscape 1.0 (Windows 10) the text is not on the site and when I try to place it on the site, Inkscape closes.

This also happens when I save the project in Inkscape version 0.92.5 on Windows 10 and then try to open the same project in Inkscape version 1.0

Is there any way to safely import designs made with version 0.92.5 into version 1.0?

I want to upgrade to 1.0 in Ubuntu Studio too 
I appreciate any help in advance.

I'm not seeing the issue with .92.2 file opened with 1.0.

Yes, this is the behavior with a font that has a gradient.
I checked this issue on Windows 10 and Ubuntu Studio with versions 0.92.5 and 1.0
The screenshots correspond to the versions in W10, but the behavior is the same in Ubuntu Studio.

I can see the issue when opening the example file in v1.0, but I cannot reproduce the issue when I make text with v.92.2 and open in v1.0.
