Is there any way to save tool styles so they can be reloaded back into Inkscape at a later date?
I'm repeatedly using various combinations of tool settings for different types of work. It would be very useful if I could save each variation somewhere so I could load it into Inkscape without having to remember each tool's exact settings every time.
I was hoping Inkscape might save the tool settings in each document's Inkscape SVG file, but it doesn't.
Then I hunted around in Inkscape to see if there was some way of saving a tool preset for each tool's settings, but no luck there either.
Are there any workarounds that could achieve the same effect?

I'm using Inkscape 1.1 in Linux Mint 20.2.
I'd try renaming the preferences.xml for each one as preferences-A.xml, preferences-B.xml, etc.
Then I'd do a copy/paste and rename to preferences.xml before each time Inkscape is launched.

Thanks for the quick response, and for providing a great solution. That works perfectly 😀
