Made my first vector styled portrait in Inkscape this past week! Looking back now, I can see I may have made the skin tone a bit too red and saturated. Any feedback and critique is much welcome :)
hi. and welcome to the forum. Your first portrait? wow, it turned out great. Love the hair, eyes and lips especially. The skintone may need a little adjusting, but I sure couldn't have done that well for a first time out. kudos!
The hair and the eyes look lovely in my opinion, but I find the skin to be a bit rough and, in my opinion, could benefit from gentler transitions between light and shade - it looks a bit like how mountains are rendered on some cartographic maps. Personally, I don't mind the overly saturated skin tones, I find that to be a nice stylistic choice: it looks almost like it is illuminated by a sunset, it is only the rough, sharp splotches that ruin it for me.
