In the new version 1.3 is text to path no longer a group but 1 path. That is such a pity
Object to Path
Path ➞ Object to Path now behaves differently for texts. In recent Inkscape versions, a text was converted into a group of letters, where each letter was a single path. Now, the whole text is converted to a single path (if you need individual letters, with Path ➞ Split Path, many texts can almost be split into letters again - or you can use the extension Text ➞ Split Text to split the text into single letters first).
I use Inkscape for design for lasercut. Text does not always hang toghether so I need to move the separate letters next to each other with some overlap and the unify. But now when I us Path>Split path the word is not split correctly. Problems with R, A, D,... Means a lot of work to check everything. When I use Text>Split Text>letters sometimes Inkscapes crashes. And If It works it is not convenient that the separate letters are alwasys placed at the top left.
I am aware many users have relied on the previous behavior for laser and vinyl cutting. I'm advocating a return to previous behavior, or a similar effective solution.

So I will go back to the previous version.
Or does anyone have another solution?

Done! Thanks.
