I have set X0 and Y0 in the bottom left hand corner of the document and saved the preferences.
I write a block of text and move it to X0 Y0 ( confirmed on top of screen coordinates).
When I generate the gcode using the JTech laser extension, the X coordinate is correct, but the Y coordinate wrong eg. Y139. This is confirmed when viewing the text t positioning using NCViewer. The text is way off on the Y axis.
Thanks, if I set the Y 0 at top LH corner in Inkscape, save and restart,, the JTech extension writes the Y coordinate at around Y400. I found I can correct it( with Y0 in bottom LH corner in Inkscape) by adjusting the “GCode Y Offset (unit) setting in JTech to 124. Probably have to stick with that for the moment.

any ideas as to why?
Please check with JTech... they supply the extension.
I keep asking the question at JTech in their question area and it keeps disappearing?. Don t hold much hope of getting the question answered by them!
Inkscape allows setting the Y origin at the top or bottom left corner. I'd try both ways to see if one works better.
