Somewhere along the version changes, Inkscape appears to have an issue when an object has a gradient. It shows now in version 1.3, but also in earlier 1.1 and later versions.
The issue shows up quickly with radial gradients, but also with a linear gradient. When one moves or scales an object with a gradient, the gradient's definition remains in the original location - it does not move with the object.
After moving, and resizing an object, one must go back and find the object's gradient pointers, and slide them - plus scale them to the new location and size. I heavily work with gradients, and this issue has become very frustrating.
Is anyone else encountering this issue? Is there a workaround?

There´s a "switch" for that:
Sorry for the ignorance: ...where is that switch?
I guess the earlier versions of Inkscape had that switch defaulted to On. Is there a way to change the Preference to always have it on as well?
Barry
Sorry - I found the switch it was in the Tool bar.
But is there a way to always have it turned on for all gradients?

From my experience this setting will be recognised as a last saved state; means it will stay put unless you change it.
okay - appreciate for the guidance.
I guess somewhere along the way it some how was changed to off, and that has thrown me completely off
Many thanks again,
Barry
Glad you´re back on track. 😁
