Maybe someone can verify this, because i'm not quite sure whether i'm assuming right...
While playing around with an youtube tutorial about the Tiled Clones tool I found that when scaling an object the tool seems to ignores the settings made in the Tool Controls? for the Select Tool.
I'm not sure whether this is supposed to work like i think, but when i unselect "When scaling objects, scale the stroke width by the same proportion." the stroke width is still scaled by the Tiled Clones tool.
Help?
currently using 1.3 beta on M1 Macbook, but i've tried it with 1.2.2 crawling on a raspberry pi, which resulted in the very same.
Yes, that's normal behaviour. Strokes are transformed with clones, regardless stroke scaling option. To preserve formatting, you could try [Path > Path Effects...] [Tiling]. Live Path Effects ignore styling when they calculate new nodes from a parent path(s).

@Paddy_CAD, Thanks for confirming, i couldn't find anything definitive in the youtube movies or the manual. Will have a dive into the LPE's
