Beyond the Basics Just thought I would try again, different people have different experiences and different workarounds. I want to split

    I have a photo and want to takes elements of that photo and separate them into different layers, which can be achieved by colour alone.  Anyone have an idea how I can do this.  If I cannot do it in Inkscape then are you able to suggest different software (I don't have Photoshop, it's expensive and I'm an amateur just messing around).

    Here is an example of what I am talking about.

    GIMP is able to select by Color and export any selection to SVG.
