I have a Brother SE626. I often get a "The pattern is too large for the extra large embroidery frame" error.
I think I am within the 200mm (4 in.) size at the far left corner of the 4" paper size, but I have been guessing as to where to put and what size to make the pattern. So far it has been a guessing game. How can I verify I have the pattern small enough and in the right area so I don't get that error?
Thanks for the link -- interesting. I know some of the information. But my specific question is what does the message my Brother machine is trying to say -- specifically. I can play around and get it to work, but I want to know what "The pattern is too large for the extra large embroidery frame" means. For example: What is an extra large embroidery fame for an SE626. Is it the 4X4 fame? If it is the 4"X4" frame, they could have said that. Is it something else?
I think that it is OK if I keep it within the 4" hoop, but I am still checking that out. I think I am messing up some of the parameters as I am working on the file going back and forth. I would like to know why they just don't say 4X4 inch frame instead of extra large embroidery fame.
@jaetea7 Basically you could just go ahead and scale it to whatever size you need. But keep in mind, that resizing an imported stitch pattern may lead to stitch density issues.

Have a look at this link where they explain hoop sizing issues: https://www.sewingmachinefun.com/embroidery-hoop-sizes/#What_is_a_hoop_size
In short: 4x4 is a rounded issue and the real size is 3.93x3.93
In Inkscape you can set your document size accordingly for a visual representation of the hoop size.

I honestly don't know what they are referring to with the extra large embroidery frame. Maybe that's more of a question for the brother support team.
But if you keep your design in the range of 3,9"x3,9" for your 4x4 hoop do you still get an error?

@Kaalleen how do you resize a .pes file in the inkscape program?
