Every time I try to trace a bitmap using this method it crashes INKSCAPE! V1.2.2 (did same on V1.2) All I want is a low node count tracing relatively true to the drawing. Please see attachment. Help please! 🤔 ADDED AUTOTRACE SHUTDOWN Thanks and best regards Inkscapers!
No crash here, but I´m not sure if you like the result because of the low res image. I´d go with a single scan if not manual tracing just half of it: Depends on your application.
Detection mode: Centerline Tracing (autotrace)

Thanks a bunch- The manual trace route (in QCAD) is best for me.
The centerline traces cause more work.
The brightness cutoff looks better but is not exact enough, causing more work than tracing bitmap by hand.
