Hello, how can i apply bend path effect along the custom path? It stubbornly insists on being a horizontal line before any rotation.
Say i have a rect like this:
No matter what i do, the bend will always apply along the short side. Even if i rotate it, so the long side is horizontal, and then do object to path, it still applies along the short side.
So far i found that rotating it and then doing Path->Flatten works, but that also breaks the rect up and i would rather not do that.
You can attach images to your post ; click on paperclip icon bottom left of the section where you type your text.
I don't know if this answers your question but I you draw the rectangle vertical (ie its short side is horizontal) and then apply bend LPE, the bend path is different.

Looks like this forum doesn't like embedded images.
The image is of a rect that is vertical (short side is along the X axis).

Yes, the bend path will be along the short side. But how can i make it go along the long side, without having to redraw the rect horizontally?
