Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials CREATE CIRCLE with Evenly Placed Nodes

    -CREATE CIRCLE using Ellipse/Arc Tool while Holding (Ctrl Key).

    -Select “Object to Path” (Ctrl/Shift-C).

    -Select “Nodes” (N).

    -Select All Nodes (Ctrl+A).

    -Insert New Nodes into Selected Segments as many times as Needed.

         New Nodes will Enter Halfway Between 2 Selected Nodes.

    -Unselect All.

    -Select Nodes to Adjust Position. Example (Shift + <or>).

    -Change Nodes Type as Needed.

    -Double Click (Make selected nodes Corner) if Needed.

    -Select and Delete Nodes as Needed. (Delete).

    -Select Selector Tool (S).

    -Deselect (Click on Page).

    • Use the polygon tool (*)
    • Draw polygon with the number of nodes you want to have
    • Convert object to path
    • Change nodes to smooth ones with the node tool

     

    Node placement will be more accurate this way than adding nodes to segments.
