I want to create an intersection out of those two diagonal arches (it's actually two circlesย zoomed in), but when I ctrl+* or ctrl+/ the new node won't pop up in the intersection, but below.
In the first pic you can see the two arches before intersecting. In the second pic, the after. In the third one, an overlap of the two, to apreciate the shift.
It's driving me insane, ngl. I've tried every path operation combination, and it'll shift the same.
The title is pretty explanatory.

Help.
Instead of using circles which turn into 4 node bezier paths, I'd try using 72 node polygons having smooth nodes.
Download the attached and examine in Inkscape.
Thanks for the reply :)
Well, that feels like it shouldn't be that way...
How do I do that? Creating a polygon and selecting al the nodes and turnย them into smooth ones?
(It's gonna take so long to substitute all the circles on my project for the polygon ones ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ)
It's an unfortunate reality, cubic beziers cannot replicate true arcs.
I use the star/polygon tool set to polygon (first button) and 72 points.
Drag to create the object, then use Path>object to path.
Node tool and select all nodes (ctrl-A), click the make selected nodes smooth button.
