I have a foto and want to crop to a specific size (220 x 330). Therefore, I would like to use a picture of the appropriate shape and use the "path" / conture to crop the original foto.
I select both shapes, and click Object / Click / Set. What I expect to get is the intersection of both shapes. What I get is a white square. I have tried clip and mask, but there is not really a difference to me.
In the past, it worked when I drew a rectangle of the appropriate shape, selected both and clicked Object / Click / Set. But now, when I click on "Create rectangles and squares (F4)" and create a rectangle, I cannot move it. When I click on it afterwards, it disappears.
ItΒ΄s not a real crop - itΒ΄s just clipping or masking. Either do this on bitmaps with dedicated bitmap editor like GIMP or make a bitmap copy in Inkscape (resolution depending).

I would be glad for a hint :)!
