Hello all!  

  Frustratedly trying to figure out how to add slight shadows inside the walls of a floor plan design.  Just trying to add some dimension to the project.  Shadow and glow filter almost gets there but I need to eliminate the glow.  No idea how to make a gradient fill fit the inside of a shape without just being a circle.

One option:

• Create a clone
  Select your floor plan and press alt-d
• Apply a little blur to the clone
  Blur effect is at the bottom of the Fill and Stroke panel
• Apply a different colour to the clone
  Filters -> Colour -> Colourize
• Move the clone a bit and lower it beneath the original plan

The neat thing about clones is that they will mimic all changes you do to the original floor plan.
