Is there a way to reverse italics?

If there isn't, how can I fit numbers into a box I created?

I want to put these numbers on these airplane tails, but I don't know how 😕

Shearing is pretty easy in Inkscape and works with Text objects - so no need to convert into path:

For precision and repeatability, the Skew tab of the transforms dialog (Ctrl+Shift+M) is useful.
