Beyond the Basics Bevels & related filters appear very low quality regardless of setting

I've been having this issue where bevel, blur, and other filters make objects appear incredibly pixelated and blurry, an example of which is attached below. The top shape has no effects applied, and the bottom shape has the "diffuse light" bevel applied to it. As mentioned before, adjusting my rendering settings for both gaussian blur and filter effects hasn't fixed anything thus far. What am I missing here? I'm currently on version 1.2 (dc2aedaf03, 2022-05-15). Any help is appreciated :)

    Might be this bug: https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape/-/issues/1031

I have replicated the problem @TylerDurden says but it seems momentary. If you go back from visible hairlines to normal and zoom even 1% it returns to normal.

@TylerDurden @mrks9 Looks like switching from the visible hairlines viewing mode fixed the issue. I likely tried to toggle snapping with Shift + 5 and ended up fat-fingering Ctrl + 5 instead at some point. Thanks for the help!
