Will not open with macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 and later.

Does anyone know when this would be addressed? I am eager to start using Inkscape.

High Sierra is an operating system from 2017, used today by very few people. It's extremely unlikely that Inkscape developers will focus on this.

It might be possible to upgrade your machine to a modern OS. What's the model?

I have macOS Sonoma 14.6.1 and I am unable to install on this version too. My Mac is only a couple years old. Is my OS too new? The download that I see available is for 10+. Is there a way to use the software via website or online somehow instead? I too am eager to try using Inkscape to see if it will work for me.

    Aloha all,

@Paddy_CAD, my MacBook Pro is currently running Sequoia15.3.2. My subject "Will not open with macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 and later." is the prompt that popped up when I was trying to install Inkscape to my MacBook. I am so bummed that that Inkscape developers will focus on this.

@ShellzThomp let's hope that Inkscape will one day address our needs so we would be able to use this app.

I have an old macbook with Sequoia 15.4 and I've had no problems. As Tyler points out, there are two Inkscape versions for two types of Mac, older Intel Macs (i5, i7, etc.) and newer ARM Macs (M1, M2, etc.). You have to pick the right download.
