    HI

Is there a place on this forum to request features? This post should be there.

Inkscape really need the option to resize a drawing and page is one step.
Currently you have to adjust the page size then select all then guess the rescale size then drag the layers to the correct place..................................
I cannot comprehend why this isn't a basic option. Im sure most users need to print drawing at different scales sometimes.

Resize document should either have its own settings in the edit menu or a toggle to "include contents" in the document properties display front page tab.

    thanks a lot

You can resize the contents first... Ctrl+A ( or select all in all layers), lock the proportions in the controls, then type in the value of H or W. No guessing. Then, Ctrl +Shift + R to fit the page to the rescaled contents.

Thanks but that is exactly what Im trying to avoid.
This does not tell you what size you need to rescale to to fit the new page size  , so you have to guess
You then need to relay out your page to fit the new size.
Plus I need to make multiple page sizes for plotting

Multiple steps that should be a one click basic function!

I get it. You want to rescale the artwork to fit a specific page size. (Some folks work the other direction.)

Feature requests are filed via the GitLab bug tracker: https://inkscape.org/forums/beyond/how-to-report-bugs-or-request-new-features/

In the meantime, you can scale your artwork with precision by scaling in the controls bar... It allows simple expressions: multiply or divide by the ratio of one sheet to the other. No guessing.
