The subject line says it all. I spend a lot of time making my project. Get the colors looking good. When I print it out the colors in the print are darker.
where should I start to correct this. I cannot afford a professional calibration.
Before proceeding further, I'd save a COPY as pdf and print the pdf. I only print from pdf.
Then, I'd try a couple of things:
I'd print the attached test pdf file and also take it to a local Shipping/Office print shop (e.g. FedEx Kinkos) and have them print one for comparison. If the "pro" print looks like my home print, the home printer can be ruled out.
Then, I'd adjust the monitor to look like the test prints as well as I can, so that what I see is closer to what I get.
