The subject line says it all. I spend a lot of time making my project. Get the colors looking good. When I print it out the colors in the print are darker.

where should I start to correct this. I cannot afford a professional calibration.

    limited money. Retired.

    thank youย

Before proceeding further, I'd save a COPY as pdf and print the pdf. I only print from pdf.

Then, I'd try a couple of things:

    • I'd print the attached test pdf file and also take it to a local Shipping/Office print shop (e.g. FedEx Kinkos) and have them print one for comparison. If the "pro" print looks like my home print, the home printer can be ruled out.
    • Then, I'd adjust the monitor to look like the test prints as well as I can, so that what I see is closer to what I get.

Thank you for the test file. Being new year weekend I will get it printed by a print shop Tuesday/.

I will test my printer tomorrow. I will publish the findings when I have all the data.
